Poetry | Bound
Bound by shackles unsuppressed
Slowly melting into this mess
By time its gone intangible
Life so unimaginable
With all exits shut and locked
Eyes closed, images blocked
Light is faint and dark consumes
The terror of destruction fumes
Alone and cold inside a cage
Sometimes hear outbursts of rage
But easier to sit back and fade
Into the end it can't evade
Life has gone deep into night
There was no upreach for the light
Giving in to destined fate
With no struggle, no debate
Lower one more deep within
Overcome by much chagrin
Shadows loom, then take aflight
Searching for the next to blight
